Thursday, August 17, 2006 New Drinks From Singapore • i tried a some new drinks (alcohol) when i was in S'pore, just to kill my curiosity... Lokal Beer ! this beer.. i think u.. more that meets the eye.. when u drink, u feel like water only. but later the power come.. u damm steam. its some brazilian beer. so dont play play with brizillian beer ! Brazilian interpretation of a Pilsner with a rich malt and cornflour aroma and hints of citrus fruit and floral hops. Crisp and quenching in the mouth, with a pleasing balance of juicy malt and gentle hops. The finish has surprising length, with a malty/grainy base, lemon fruit and a light but persistent bitter hop note. A good refresher. 4.7% ABV Hoegaarden This is really nice.. i love Hoegaarden beer. nice to drink and i really enjoy every sip :P it wont get u tipsy no worry.. not like the Lokal. knn... abit of reading The brilliant white beer is brewed to a traditional recipe which dates as far back as 1445, although the beer Hoegaarden has only existed since 1966. Hoegaarden gets its great taste partly due to there being special ingredients added during the brewing process, such as - wheat, coriander and curacao orange peels. Also the pale, cloudy appearance of this mysterious looking drink is all thanks to an additional second fermentation in the bottle. more infor at their website --> http://www.hoegaarden.org.uk/ The New Water ! reading from here * ada pop up.. beware ! NEWater is the product of Singapore's new water-treatment system, and it is wastewater that has been purified through advanced synthetic membranes called ZeeWeed. That's right: The crystal-clear NEWater that gushes through the country's faucets isn't gurgling from a mountain spring. Most recently, it was flushed from a toilet.
