GFAS Dinner 25.11.2006 •
I am not sitting at Starbucks Sunway Pyramid. I am not suppose to be here. but i need to wait for my spec to be ready. i get myself a tint lense for my trip tomorrow. yeah, a bit last minute but wat to do. wannabe cool mah..nah, just because the Sun could be bigger over there at phuket. another 1/2 hour to go, so i decided to sit down here at Starbucks to blog while waiting for my specs to be ready.
i was suppose to blog about my trip to Cameroon but then KC still havent pass me those quality pics yet. so lets skip Cameron. will update again lah.
It was the time of the year again for our departmental dinner. what makes it so special this year is, it was a join effort between GFAS (my dept), HR-IT(based in Shell House), SCI & ITSM teams. It's a much more formal dinner compare to the crazy dinner we had last nite. Location wise, last year still roxx coz it was KL Hilton. nway, we had it at KLCC Convention Center & got a free stay over at Traders Hotel.
KLCC Convention Center
well known place for convention, KL Fashion Week happen to be the same weekend with our dinner as well. popular spot for PC Fair. having Aquaria KLCC. erm.. roughly that's all about it. nothing much over there. it more suitable for convention rather than banquet or dinner thingy.
The Hotel
nice. clean. not spacious. new. SAmsung LCD tv. good view, facing twin tower. sorry.. i dont have time to try the gym facilities. but i did chill at the pool side bar, "Sky Bar". very much the Luna Bar concept with proper sittings. not a bad place to chill. but dont fall into the pool pls !
The Dinner
It was so call a grand masquerade dinner. everyone needs to wear a mask for a dinner.and wat ugly mask did i get for myself? hahaha.. later u check the pics and tell me k. overall, i had fun entertained by the performance on stage both internal (our own staff dancing & singin) and also profesional dancers :). End of the nite, i still got no luck with the grand draw of LCD tv. damm... all this year i got no luck with all the grand prize. its been awhile man ! i only settle with RM100 Shell Petrol Voucher. better then nothing lah. i did cam whore around. here are some selected ones. We went straight to SkyBar after the dinner.

I am back (again) •
ok. i know. i m lazy. its been a while ! but i got valid reasons.
a) i am busy at work b) i am busy on my forum stuff c) i went to few places. weren't in town for the few weekends. d) i am attached :P (its that a reason ?)
i will try to update watever i could, put up as much pix as possible. quite a number of stuff to blog for the pass 2 months. nway, i m gonna do it chronologically.
04.11.2006 Mayli & HarnYng are some nice girls in my office. hahahaha.. there r so nice to buy me dinner at Jogoya in StarHill. well, that was for my belated birthday celebration, roughly about 3 weeks after the actual date. no.. i m not complaining. its the tought that count. talking about review, i m not really good on review food. alli can say, RM 100/person for japanese buffet is one of the most expensive u can find in KL. Jogoya is a japanese buffet chain originated from Taiwan. in the manager that so nice bringing us around the restaurant was also from Taiwan. slowly & patiently, he brought us here & there and tell us what is famous, good & must eat food in the restaurant. personally, i would recommend the fresh sushi, the grill fish, the mini "buddha jump over the wall" and also the crab. *slurrrrpp*. u can skip the local cuisine & save your stomach for better food. thanks ladies, thank you for bringing me there and keeping ur promise :) so sweet of u and let not talk about SyM ! grrrrr....
i will be off for the next 2 weekends as well. 8 - 11 Dec 2006 - JB, Tai Onn's wedding. a special friend of mine. a friend that i probably know the longest on earth. roughly 20 years. do u still keep in touch with primary school friends? yea, u bet, i did. i will be one of his "brother" for his wedding. i guess the main reason is i can drink. he need someone to back him up.
14 - 17 Dec 2006 - Phuket ! Thanks to airasia promotion. finally i am stepping my foot there and "Pi Pi" island is a must !
Love is definitely in the air. Bryan + Kamy will be tying note 11.11.2007. really happy for them :) i am booked as "brother" as well. most likely is the same reason above.
almost coming to the end of the year now. did i manage to do wat was plan earlier this year?
more rant soon.....
